check in #2

I think it's the second check in, recent RL things have given me a slight brain fail.

Pull up a chair, grab a drink and snack :)

1. Have you made any progress on your fic?
2. Still deciding what to write?
3. Other things getting in the way?

*I'll be replying to comments from last time in the next few days, haven't forgot.

I have been making progress! What a surprise!!

Four chapters down and a about six to go. Unless another subplot rears its ugly head!

I have an idea that I'll be fleshing out over the next month. Nothing written yet, but need to make some progress so I know where the story is going... just one scene isn't going to make a story!

I've made some progress, though I really haven't going at my best fit writing speed.. Not helped by the fact that my length guesstimate just keeps climbing upwards. I've managed to get to 26K but given how much of the story is left, I'm probably looking mid-to-high thirties in total.

Sigh.

But if I keep my nose down, maybe I can get the first draft done by the end of the month, because lord knows some of the plot lines still need work.

I missed this, so I might be too late? But I'm actually a little bit concerned about my schedule for this:

1. Have you made any progress on your fic? I haven't, because:

2. Still deciding what to write? I am having massive indecision and doubt about whether any of the bang-sized ideas I have would be good/doable for this.

3. Other things getting in the way? Myself, mostly, but by way of that, I'd been signing up for much smaller things with deadlines in between, as excuses for procrastination, and those are actually taking up time now.

I actually came by to try to work out whether I ought to bow out before I'm paired with an artist (I'd be happy to not be paired up but to try to still write, if that would be better) and what the procedure for that would be, what the deadline is looking like (an extension on the schedule would help me I think), and also whether it would be more helpful if I switched to art--depending on whether there are enough artist sign-ups.
