I was just talking about deadlines with Melagan for this and you have a reasonably decent window for posting as it is... I'd say leave it and see what happens about September 1... we should do a mandatory check in with authors about then with a 'when do you think you'll be ready to post?' question... you'll have a better feel at that point.

To be honest, mine also won't probably be ready until mid-to-late September... I've signed up for a couple too many things and need to get something else done before this fit... although that one is at least started. I have a reasonable idea for this fic, but need a 'hook' that I haven't found as yet... but once I get writing, it should be okay.
